I blog mainly at Learning Communities, about e-learning, online communities, writing and online content. This blog is slightly more technical and practical and offers helpful tips and hints on running and managing Drupal, Moodle, WordPress, Ning and similar social networks and websites.

I am passionate about elearning, online communities, and writing online.  I help education and business with strategic elearning development, online tutoring, blogs and  online content, offer writing courses, and run online communities of practice and networks  for working and learning

I specialise in creating formal and informal learning opportunities online and in a blended context, including support for virtual teams, communities of practice, student support communities and customer networks.

Through Kids on the Net I support reading, writing and literacy in schools, libraries, families and the community.

My day job is in the Learning Technology Section supporting learning and teaching at the University of Nottingham.
